210 children from our parish were confirmed on Saturday 30th March 2009.
Bishop James Moriarty presided at the Confirmation Ceremony in Portlaoise which was held on Saturday the 30th of March. The Bishop confirmed 210 children from Portlaoise Parish during two ceremonies. The first ceremony took place at 12 noon and the second ceremony at 2.30pm.
We wish all who were confirmed our congratulations and assure them of the support of our parish community. We also acknowledge the work and dedication of all involved in the preparation of the children, parents, teachers and Faith Friends. Thanks also to all who prepared the church and the liturgy for the big day.
