Portlaoise Parish Harvest Thanksgiving

Last weekend our Parish Churches were beautifully decorated with the fruits of the harvest. In a time of recession, when many in our parish are truly burdened, the simplicity of harvest fruits perhaps challenges us to appreciate and value all we have. There is an abundance and plenty of hope, light and goodness in the Lord’s harvest. May we all value what we have and respond with compassion to those who long for more.
