Bereavement Support Group

Through a team of volunteers the Parish reaches out to support, to comfort and console those whose loved one has died. Facing the death of a loved one is a very painful experience and draws upon our deepest emotions, both mentally and spiritually. Whatever your bereavement be it the death of a parent, spouse, brother, sister,child relative or friend, we can help you in every way we can.

To make an appointment to speak with a member of the Bereavement Support Group, please contact the Parish Centre during office hours on 8621142.

Grow Community Mental health Support Group

Grow Community Mental Health Support Group meets every Wed. at 7:30pm in the Community Mental Health Centre, Bridge St. Portlaoise. If you are suffering from epression, Shyness, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, then why not come along. Contact: John at 086 - 8033126.

Legion of Mary

Join the Legion of Mary.
Weekly meetings in the Prayer Room every Wednesday at 8pm.
Works include home to home visitation, hospital visitation, sale of Catholic papers, any other contact - work to spread the faith.

Paddy Lalor

Paddy Lalor, Lalor Mills, RIP.

Removal from his residence on Sunday evening 27th February to arrive at the Parish Church for 7.30pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10am followed by burial to S.S. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.

Portlaoise Gospel Choir

Portlaoise Gospel choir have been together for over 4 years. They practice every Tuesday night in the Parish Church at 8pm. Sadie O’Brien

Removal  from Regional Hospital on Saturday evening 29th January at 5pm to arrive at the Parish Church at 5.30pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 12.30pm followed by burial in Ballinabranna, Carlow.
