Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St James Hospital. Dearly beloved husband of Betty, much loved father to Conor, Audrey and Rory. Sadly missed by son-in-law Fergal and daughter-in-law Zoe. Cherished grandad to TJ, Nadine, Dara and Odin. Deeply regretted by his brother Joe, sisters Ann, Rita, Mary and Eleanor, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.

Due to current government advice regarding public gatherings, a private family funeral will take place, for family only, in St Peter and Paul’s Church on Wednesday, February 3rd at 12 noon. The Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam: https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/ Interment afterwards in St Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.
Those who would have liked to attended but cannot, please leave a personal message in the condolence section below, or send on in the traditional manner. Friends and neighbours are very welcome to line the route to the cemetery in a safe and socially-distanced manner, as a mark of respect.

It is with great sadness that I learned of John’s passing , it was a great pleasure to have worked with John on the Bus for Kolbe he will be sadly missed by his Family ,and friends near and far , may he R.I.P.
