Gertie O’Connor (nee Clarke) Carrick Hill and formerly Rochfordbridge, Westmeath.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the tender care of the excellent staff of Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home.

Beloved wife of Michael, dearly loved mother to Pat, Imelda and Gerard. Cherished grandmother to Niall, Rory, Kevin and Donagh. Deeply regretted by her loving family, daughters in law Caroline and Mary, son in law Denis Dillane, brother, sister, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Friday, September 29th from 6.30 pm with Rosary at 8 pm. House private Saturday. Requiem Mass in SS Peter and Paul’s Church at 2 pm on Saturday; https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/ followed by interment in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Maureen Reynolds (née Dooley), Beladd Upper and formerly of Barking, Essex.

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a short illness borne with great courage and dignity, at Tullamore Hospital. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Robert (Bob) and adored mother of Sophia and Shane. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, daughter and son, her sister Ann, brother John, in-laws, family circle, friends, neighbours and work colleagues in Mulhall’s Supervalu.

House private until Tuesday 26th September 2023

Reposing at St Peter’s (Church of Ireland) Church from 6:30 pm, with Service of Evening Prayer at 8 pm.

Wednesday 27th September 2023, reposing at home from 4 pm with Rosary at 7 pm.

Thursday 28th September 2023, Requiem Mass at St Peter and St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church at 2pm, Portlaoise, followed by burial at The Holy Trinity Church, The Rock of Dunamase.

Family flowers only, donations to the Friends of Tullamore Hospital, Tullamore.

Gavin Young, London and late of Newpark.

Passed away peacefully after a short illness 0n 1st September 2023 in the wonderful care of North Middlesex Hospital Enfield.

Cherished son of Colman and Ann Young. Loving father to Joseph Murphy Young. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sister Sophie, brothers Brian and Neil, also Claire and Iseult. Sadly missed by his uncles and aunts, cousins and many friends and kind neighbours.

May he rest in peace.

Cremation took place in London. Requiem Mass will take place in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise, at 12 noon on Saturday, September 30th.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Carmel. Loving father to Derina, Caragh, Edel and Pearce. Cherished grandfather (Pops) to Sophie, Cillian, Max, Ethan, Daniel, Finn and Eliza. Sadly missed by sons in law Marc and Jonathan and daughter in law Máire. Deeply regretted by his brothers Noel, Michael and Frank (RIP). Sadly missed by brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces nephews, all his former colleagues in International Screen Print, relatives, golf partners and friends.

Peacefully in the loving presence of her family and in the care of the staff of The Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Dearly loved wife of Dan. Cherished mam to Ann, John (R.I.P), Liam, Cyril and Noeleen. Lovingly missed by sons-in-law Eamonn and Barry, daughters in law Anna, Marie and Angela, her beloved grandchildren; Eoghan, Kevin, Shane, Darragh, Erica, Ronan, Emma, Cian, Caoimhe, Ríona, Cathal, Róisín, Sinéad and great grandchild Arthur. Also sadly missed by her brother and sister in law Fintan and Mary, nieces, nephews, cousins, her former colleagues in St. Fintan’s Hospital and her many friends.

Predeceased by her loving son John, her brothers Billy and Seán, sisters Mollie, Judy and Bridie.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Friday, September 15th from 5.30pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal from her residence at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday to arrive at SS Peter and Pauls Church for 12 noon Requiem Mass; https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls cemetery.

House private on Saturday morning.

Sadly missed by her loving sons and daughters Jackie, Niall, Gina, Paul and Christina, grandchildren Christopher, Megan, Ethan and Liam, brothers and sisters Peter, Ann, George, Declan, David, Caroline, Niall and Edel, son-in-law Michael, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Cooney’s Funeral Home, New Ross, on Tuesday, September 5th from 4pm concluding at 7pm and Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise, on Wednesday, September 6th, from 5.30pm concluding at 7pm for extended family and close friends.

Removal on Thursday, September 7th, to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for Requiem Mass at 12noon, followed by burial afterwards in  SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
